The DMA of Northern California was formed to educate, inform and provide networking opportunities for
Direct Marketing professionals in the
bay area.

We hold monthly luncheon meetings, periodic half-day seminars and provide opportunity for the best in learning and job hunting in the Northern California direct marketing community.

Membership

The national DMA has always been a great organization with much to offer. They are phasing out their chapter program and instituting a new affiliate program that is completely different, and we have taken the opportunity to incorporate as of November 1, 2006 as a private club under the new name of Direct Marketing Association of Northern California (DMAnc). Plus, we have joined as an affiliate of the national DMA.

Under the DMA affiliate network program they will help us promote membership and give us access to their research and various other benefits. The DMA is very active in one key area where we are not: lobbying for needed changes that affect our members. By becoming an affiliate, it gives the DMA more clout in Washington.

Benefits for Joining the DMA of Northern California include:
  • $20 Discounts on all DMAnc meetings
  • Post jobs to Career Center 50% discount
  • Unlimited access to search for jobs on the Career Center
  • 10 to 20% Discounts to partnered events, such as Ad:Tech, PPC Summit, Online Marketing Summit, ExactTarget Route 1

Leveraging Mobile Couponing
Customer Acquisition in a Tough Economy

Join us as Steven Gray, CEO of Money Mailer, and author of the report The Formative Years: the Mobile Couponing Craze Takes Shape discusses how to leverage mobile marketing. As consumers continue to feel the pinch from today’s economic pressures, an increasing number are turning to coupons as an effective cost‒cutting measure. For marketers who are taking advantage of the coupon trend, mobile coupons are a natural extension of their mail, print and point‒of‒purchase coupon pieces. “Going mobile” helps advertisers reinforce messages with consumers who are becoming increasingly dependent on their mobile phones. Gray will dispel the confusion about which types of businesses are fit for mobile and online direct marketing.
