Luncheon Seminar

What metrics do you look at to monitor your email deliverability health? ISPs have moved light years beyond standard complaint monitoring, and if you are not regularly analyzing various metrics, then your program could be at risk. In this presentation, we will discuss what indicators ISPs currently use to judge senders and what they are trying to achieve by doing so. Learn additional metrics to track and understand why they are vital to your long-term deliverability health.

At the end of this session, you'll be able to:
  • Describe the relevance of engagement as a deliverability concept and why open rate, clicks to open and Unsubs/'Click Actions' are telling metrics
  • Explain the current relevancy of complaint rate and list three of the most common skews to this metric
  • Create your own monitoring plan using specific engagement and reputation metrics on an ongoing basis
  • Articulate the shift from IP to domain reputation and what is forcing this change

Social Media Advertising Best Practices:

How to create and run ads on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn

Instructor: John Thyfault, VP, Search Engine & Social Media Marketing, Beasley Direct and Online Marketing

As social media sites grow and mature, many marketers are adding targeted advertising on social sites to their media mix. Advertising on social media sites has the advantage of getting your message in front of the right people based on their activities and characteristics. Done properly it can deliver strong ROI, and help you to develop a more in-depth understanding of your customers. This workshop will walk you through four major social media sites, their offerings and the best practices to optimize your message to the site and the social media user. These best practices will look at both desktop and mobile advertising opportunities.

4:45 ‒ 6:45 PM
Local and Mobile SEO Best Practices:

The Intersection of Local Search and the Mobile Customer

Instructor: John Thyfault, VP, Search Engine & Social Media Marketing, Beasley Direct and Online Marketing

Local search is different. You need to know how to play the game even if you donít have a storefront or a local office. 30% of all searches now have local intent, and if youíre not optimized youíll lose business to more agile competitors. The smart marketer will ensure that he gets his products in front of the searcher's eyes by taking advantage of Google's local search technology. This seminar will give you twenty best practices that can be used to drive relevant traffic and sales to your website, whether you are a national brand or a one-location operation.
